Matthew Paul Burrell

Matthew Paul Burrell, 41, of Appomattox, Virginia was called home on Sunday, February 18, 2024.  He was born September 20, 1982 to Linda Burrell and the late Nathaniel Burrell.  Matthew was an outgoing man who cherished his family and friends.  In his spare time, he enjoyed working on cars and being outdoors.

He is survived by his two children, Isis and I’nya Burrell of Appomattox; three brothers, Robert Croner (Eniro) of Appomattox, Nathan Burrell of Madison Heights and Andre Burrell (Michelle) of Appomattox; two sisters, Queen and Kierra Burrell of Appomattox; an uncle, Leon Croner (Verna); an aunt, Harriett Croner and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Matthew was preceded in death by his sister Belinda Jordan “Sissy”; grandmother, Mrs. Marie Croner, and a beloved cousin Kevin Burrell.

A funeral service for Mr. Matthew Burrell will be held on Friday, March 1, 2024, at 2 p.m. from the Bruce and Stiff Funeral Home Chapel.  The interment will take place at Zion Baptist Church Cemetery, Pamplin, VA.

Public viewing will be held on Thursday, February 29, 2024, from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m.
